I read through this thread tonight. Several things occur to me
1) The PM she recieved from Chipdale was utterly appauling. The last thing we need on this board is a jesus freak killing the whore of babylon deal. It reminds of that film with the woman whos an escort and has this scary fella dressed up as a catholic priest who keeps saying "im here to save you child!"
2) Its the oldest profession in the world, I don't really like to judge people who go into the busness through there own will but clearly shes got personal issues from the past. But that doesn't mean im trying to make some lame connection between having a crisis/meltdown and becoming an escort or prostitute. I have more respect for escorts because it tends to be the more "clean" and semi-legal side of it
3) She talks of manipulation but I find its not quite as straight forward as that. Who really does the exploiting here? I do find it sad that to get ahead in society or gain influence and power a woman has to offer herself up to sexual exploitation and submissive power games within various cultures. I do think we have serious issues with this in our society, the equalities woman have fought for in the past could quite easily begin to reverse several generations down the line. I think ive read too much feminist literature though
4) this is a complicated issue and i think some of the guys replying to the thread initially hadn't really taken into account the perspective from woman and their politics and agenda's and struggles....
God im beginning to sound like a sociologist i better stop
