That is a clear teaching of the bible. If that statement is against the rules, the Bible and Christianity are also against the rules. Not trying to be controversial, just expressing my own frustration at how difficult it is to make religion and religious discussion accpetable in an inclusive society.


No, actually, that's not a pretty clear teaching of the Bible. It's how some people interpret the Bible. Not everyone.

And, given the nature of your claim, the fact that some don't see it that way is by itself evidence that it's not a "pretty clear" teaching.

In my opinion it's less about interpreting and more about leaving parts out after accepting they were written by flawed humans. The bible itself is full of statements to that effect. It is just as potentially offensive as any troll poster in my opinion.
I have worshipped and discussed with both literalist and liberal believers and spent lots of time trying to figure out the subjects in my head.
