I'm starting to make negative assumptions about why she uploaded the avatar in the first place.

Nevermind, they're gone from my mind now. I was thinking she might have only uploaded it to seek attention and flare up some controversy.

And I seem semi-hypocritical now that my own avatar is supposedly disturbing

I have only just found these discussions and they're quite old, but I'm responding anyway.

I didn't expect there to be such controversy over my avatar, the thing that stood out to me was her facial expression and dress. I knew there'd be the odd person giggling at the !!BOOB!!, but I didn't think it was such a big deal because they aren't even fully developed ones since the girl is actually quite young. I have no problems with nudity (besides she isn't even fully naked) especially when the naked person walks around like that all the time so the intention is not to seduce or shock. Come on guys you were born naked!!
And it's not anything graphic, a chest isn't a genital. I didn't use her genitals as an avatar! It's only one small part of her torso. I mean I know nipples are erogenous zones but only in the right situation.
I don't intend to change it for anyone, I'll only change the avatar when I get bored of it (which I'm starting to do actually, so you won't have to endure the disgusting vulgar image for much longer!).
