This is the second day in a row you've done this... under two separate names. Why on earth would you create another account if you want your first deleted due to privacy concerns?

He likes his first user name, uses it for other purposes on the internet, and doesn't like the fact that his wrongplanet posts are still associated with Prillix when he searches that user name with google.

He'll keep doing it with different IP addresses and different user names until he gets tired of doing it. If it is associated with OCD it could go on for a long time.

The mods could delete the posts and ban the account almost immediately. But, if this individual wanted to they could do it indefinitely as many times as they wanted to as long as they come up with new IP addresses.

If it keeps on eventually most will probably just ignore it like it isn't here.

I'm not sure if the owner can take legal recourse, but that might be an option if it gets out of hand. The owner has no legal obligation to either delete the account or change the user name, so in the long run the poster is harming his own goal by taking this course of action.

That was a very thoughtful reply, but I actually did know all of this already. I was hoping the OP would answer with what he thinks this will accomplish.

And yes, he is trolling whether he's a troll or not.

Your welcome, at this point his duplicate account might be getting banned quick enough not to give him time to make a response. I didn't notice any this go around.

Maybe his other account was banned so he created that one.

Admin won't delete the account, either, although they do have power to change the name. Deletions mess up the software.

I know that but he expects the mods to do it or alex or TOGGI3 or anyone who has the admin tools. So he thinks he can force someone to do it.

@DW a Mom

Do you know if an owner of a public website can take legal recourse against someone that keeps doing an action like this with different IP addresses? In some cases it's not obvious who the person is. But in this case with the repetitive nature of the messages, it could probably be determined fairly easy, if it became a legal matter and such a course of action was possible.

I tried being nice, but since personal privacy is obviously not a concern for the people of the board, i have no other choice.

(oh im sure the mods know which account)

Thanks for wasting a large chunk of my morning.

I hope you realise we can report you to your ISP for doing this.

I have no idea.

But why anyone thinks it is in their best interests to force VOLUNTEER moderators with limited tools to play whack-a-troll is beyond me. Threats and nuisance do NOT help his case. There have been times moderators have done their absolute best for a member concerned about privacy, but those users asked VERY NICELY, fully recognized that they were asking a FAVOR, and ACCEPTED the limitations of what could be done on their behalf.

Another silly thing about responding to any of these threads is that since there are so many, is the OP going to check every single one of them for replies?

I have tried to delete my account to but it doesn't seem to be possible. Every website has the possibilite to remove an account so why is Wrong Planet an exception to the rule?

I would really appreciate it if someone who is involved with this website would explain the procedure to me or remove my account for me. Please?

There is no mechanism to delete your account - there is a mechanism to prevent you or anyone else from being able to login to your account. Your posts stay.

I am beginning to feel like a prisoner here.
Why is it impossible to delete my profile and what is the mechanism that prevents me from logging into my account?
An explanation would be much appreciated.

If your account was deleted, your posts would cease to exist - that would leave gaping holes in any thread you ever participated in.

The mechanism that prevents you from logging into your account is you ask the mods to ban your account from being able to login.

The gaping holes are probably better than my posts.
How do I ask the mods to prevent my from logging in?
