Why does the website get sometime ornery when I connect to it on the first time per day? It's like it freezes, can't do anything to the window, and I actually have to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to shut down Internet Explorer. Doesn't happen with any other website.

3000 puppy deaths, 1000 for the first mysql error, 2000 because it was followed by a back to back mysql error

As far as I know, that's a blanket reason for anything "bad" happening. While I was doing work on a program (computer) in a research lab, any time it didn't behave as expected, the post-doc I was working under offered that as an explanation. It was also apparently the cause of computer failures, server glitches, and many other things, even as minor to the vending machine not relinquishing possession of that damn package of pop-tarts on occasion.

I have notice some times at noon the server slows. WP must run some process at both
12 AM and 12 PM (it starts around then anyway). Ideally that process should be prevented from using 100% of the systems resources.
