'feeds' as in what we've been discussing, active discussions, newest posts, egosearch and the like.

and, yes i know there's nothing there. but it's an idea.

Sooo, the best solution is just to "forget it" and ignore any ideas and opinions to mitigate the matter? Solutions have been described and supported by some here, and certain topics are de-linked from the Active Discussions list, so at least one of them should be available which and minimally intrusive; but, none is forthcoming ... just because.

Okay. At least we all now know the official Wrong Planet opinion about the matter.

If there were an option for users to be able to filter certain threads of their choosing from the egosearch, newest posts, and active discussion feeds, that would work wonderfully. :)

unfortunately that's the only option available right now, but i don't know why you think i'm implying these suggestions should be ignored. they're all good and valid, i'm just saying there's nothing i can personally do to make a change to how the site works, such as delinking those topics.
