How about it, Alex? May we please see the thread title in the page title?

Yeah, at this point even a "No, I think your idea sucks and I'm not going to make that change" would be nice... Then we would know that at the least he had seen this thread and done more than ignored it.

As an example, which just looks a bit silly, and is more a criticism of Google:

Which is just what happened to be on my browser at this instant.
I had only just come onto WP, then searched for an image of a brain off Google, then updated my signature. I'll probably have more "Wro" soon, no "Hu" and less "Goo", plus a couple of "Wik"s and a few others.

I suppose the third option would be that Alex has had a look at the idea, but hasn't come up with a nice way of doing it yet.

Unless we're told which it truly is, all we can do is speculate.

Flismflop... I wasn't sure I recognised your browser. I agree about the title as well, to an extent, but I so rarely have more than a single browser window open, it hardly matters.

Can't you turn of the close buttons on the tabs? Having those taking up my precious screen space would drive me up the wall. I just tried Opera, and it defaults to having them, but allows you to turn them off.

(I was just getting the feel of Opera, but then ran into the grimy area of ad blocking - which SeaMonkey(FF) handles so well. I just gave up on Opera.)

Lau,
That is only a single browser window (it's a screen shot of the title bar and part of your post). I’m trying to point out that there’s no way to tell what thread the tab belongs to without having to scroll all the way to the subject of the first post. On every other online forum that I’m on, which incidentally uses this same forum software as WP, has the thread title up on the title bar - On those sites, as soon as I click on the tab, I immediately see what thread it belongs to.

Honest, I knew all that (except that I'm unsure how customised this WP s/w is).

I still don't recognise your browser. Give us a clue?
