yeah basically my idea is that mods dont play police, they play firefighter.
I think I used effectively an identical phrase in the thread requesting more mods a while back.

It wouldn't be (shouldn't be) more power, but more people able to use it when necessary. Not like more police, more like more firemen. The closest can respond to the fire, and it would be more likely that one would be on-duty when / if a fire broke out.

I will never moderate anywhere that has such a silly policy...I mean, I did try telling the forum owner...people who come to spiritual sites, generally have problems...and it does not encourage them to talk if the mods float around with nicely glimmering halos.
