And unreasonable or malicious attacks here do seem to draw most of the community together for defense. But, there are cliques and factions here (sadly enough), which draw lines of disagreement. Frankly, I don't think anyone should be maliciously attacking one another - but some people are trying to 'hook up' or whatever, and it's easy for feelings to get hurt and attacks to be propagated. They just shouldn't spill out into the forums.

I know I've only been here for a short time, but another comment I would like to add is that I often notice that people over here hijack threads very often either by posting something not relevant to the discussion or by posting something trivial or superficial. Also I find that people over here, especially in the random forums, treat it as if it was some exclusive chat room.

Why? I don't know! Is that right/ I wouldn't think so, but someone of a higher authority needs to know if something like that ever happens in the future.

That seems to be the spirit of the place. Frankly, I do this, and I rather enjoy when others do. If it seems too extreme, feel free to try and put the thread back on topic.

Uhm? what else do you want the random forums to be? They are there to keep the spamming tendencies that we all feel in one sealed container (mostly). This is a community, not just some sort of information site. Those exist as well.

I understand that this is a community, but in a community there are general courtesy rules that people typically follow so that they feel like they are not being treated rather rudely and get a say in the matter. It is not supposed to be just a few people who post for the heck of it. I don't mind games and polls every now and then, but you have to remember that there are other people on this site that want to say something too.

There are plenty of forums for the more serious discussions with only 2 forums for the less serious things such as games, quizzes and polls. These are generally a part of forums and they are not going to change because one person wishes them to change. This is an Aspergers forum...courtesy rules?? There are rules, sure enough, but people are generally, within reason, allowed to speak their minds there, from what I have seen. There are plenty of places for you to say whatever you wish to say...just maybe the random forum is not suited to you.

Yes. I would hope so seeing as how there are different titled forums. You seem to put things in the right place. But random discussion and the quizzes, roleplay and off the wall are aimed at more general things, and more often than not, fun, random, meaningless or occasionally slightly meaningful things because one needs that balance.

I was just referring to the fact that I find that sometimes threads get hijacked, or that threads get drowned out. And it doesn't just happen in the random forums. Obviously I know that a thread titled "List some random thing here" is going to get just that.
