I have received this PM report from a member today:

Whoever i click on the Log In tab, another page pops up telling me that I’ve won something. It’s a phishing scam, of course. I hope that no one gets caught by it.

Has anyone else encountered this?

The only strange behaviour I've had is exactly what Nick007 described in the other thread - a browser hijacker
I only get it when I do a search , possibly a bad advert on the search results page

There also seems to be an issue where, when I got to the forum (already logged in), I get a Malware message stating my computer was hacked. Of course I just fill in some information to get "protection". I think the forum software/server that's used here is just too out of date.

To me, what you describe seems like you deliberately give info to scummers. Maybe there was no malware in the first place? Do you run your own protection app, or fill sth in from the internet? Of course I could be wrong. Just letting you know.

WP has been held together by tape and staples for years. whatever it is i doubt it's anything particularly new.
