Na, he doesn't like me so I don't think he would listen to anything I had to say. I got second hand news that he was going to ban me anytime soon so what would be the use of saying anything to him? He has his favourites and his un-favourites and I am one of the latter.

It was someone who was being nasty and malicious, and was probably drunk, and then they decided to take their bad feelings out on me.

It wasn't me, by the way. I thought Alex didn't like me because he never PMed me directly to ask why I was doing what I was. If he had, I would have told him I suspect I could have co-morbid OCD and that is why. What is difficult though is how much OCD-like behaviour is just Aspie perseveration and how much is due to a separate syndrome.

I don't have a compulsion to endlessly clean and wash my hands and I know some OCD people and don't seem to be much like them as far as the actions are concerned, but I do get the compulsive and unwanted thoughts sometimes eg. people are out to get me and don't like me. So that is why I believed I was being singled out and others were doing far worse things than necroing and nothing was happening to them.

That's pretty much what it comes down to. I was the one who noticed that the necroing was going on, so it really was appropriate that I be the one to address the issue. Regarding necroing in general, we're working on coming up with some general guidelines on the situations in which it is or is not preferred. It will never be an acceptable way to voice one's discontent about the content of more recent threads though.

Regarding "greater" offenses appearing to go unnoticed, there are three possibilities here:
1) the member was warned privately
2) in our opinion it is not a greater offense
3) there's some gray area and we've not yet decided whether we will allow a given behavior

Anyhow, keep letting us know your suggestions for the site. We may not always implement your ideas, but we do listen.

Well I was never given warnings before I was banned. I know it has happened to other members too because I've seen them mentioning it over at I2.

You were given plenty of warnings. Actually, you're lucky that none of the moderators have banned you without warning for using a new name to circumvent a ban that's still in place. That's a bannable offense in of itself, no questions asked, no warning required.
