I wonder if there is some confusion between the two meanings of the word "adult".
1. There is "adult" as in grown up, no more fart jokes, poop jokes, snot jokes and other childish behavior.
2. Then there is "adult" as in "Adult Book Store" or "Adults Only".
Those two have very different protocols, and it sounds like our friend Spokane_Girl is thinking the second, when the first may be intended.
If Kink is allowed, I would think there would be a section clearly labeled. Otherwise, it's not good to ass-u-me. This is a very public forum with children (and childlike adults) reading. Kink is not universally appropriate subject matter.
Just a thought.
Very good points and that is something I wished I could have articulated when I first became upset about some of the subject matter in the adult forum. There's other websites that cater for kinky stuff so no need to put lots of it in WP. I believed that "adult" stuff was more along the lines of rude jokes and risque items rather than pron and endless descriptions of perverted practices.
I'm also disappointed in the common attitude I'm seeing where apparently very high functioning aspies are criticising others who are struggling in some way with sensory issues, socialisation issues, job issues and so on. There seems just about as much of a gulf between them and the somewhat lower functioning aspies as there is between NTs and us.
In fact, from some people, I notice even lower tolerance and lack of supportiveness towards typical aspie issues such as intolerance to loud noises, to having their items moved by other people in their workplace without their permission, finding it hard to get work, and similar.
