This is an Aspie forum. A lot of us (myself included) lack common sense.
That's true (especially me)
Which is why I think there should be leniency in dealing with first-time offenders. This is a support forum for people who mostly don't know how to conduct themselves in interactions with other people, so you can expect that a well-intentioned visitor may occasionally transgress the rules without any malice- at which point their mistake should be pointed out and they warned not to do it again. Scoey actually seemed like a pretty nice guy, if a little overzealous.

Sometimes I find aspie forums a joke.
What do you mean?
Lot of aspies have been bullied by other people but they go on a autism forum and expect niceness from other auties and aspies but instead they find themselves being bullied too by their own kind. And I keep seeing all this bashing about NT and how badly we have been treated. Hello I have been mistreated by other aspies too, the same crap I have gotten from non aspies. Also the fact other aspies have expected me to have NT super powers. Like the time one of my aspie buddies got mad at me when I asked him if he was fat or not. What the heck, why would he think I was saying that to hurt him, instead of the fact it was a curious question. We had been friends for a year and I can't believe he treated me like I was a none aspie.
And also obsessions is also part of the spectrum so some of us might come here to talk about our obsessions and not worry about being put down or mistreated or people getting mad at us because of our obsessions but no, we still get crap for our obsessions because other members are annoyed by that person's obsessions. It happened to a member here. He has an obsession with straps and boy did he get crap for it on here so he stopped talking about it.
That's why I say aspie forums are a joke. You will still get crap from you own kind you have gotten from none aspies and auties.
So I have learned don't assume other aspies won't bully you in the community because they will understand where you are coming from. Some of them are just jerks just like some normal people are.
So when this member joined this forum and posted a survey on us, (I never clicked on the thread nor his profile) the mods here treated him like he was an NT or something because he didn't have the common sense. Hello aspies lack common sense so why would we expect other aspies to have common sense. Not all of them have that normal super power. I don't know if the member was aspie or not or unsure if he or she has it or not.
It just amazes me to see other aspies expect another aspie to read betwene the lines, connect the dots, have common sense, etc. Also the fact some of them like to put other aspies down for their aspie problems. My god

Well, if your obsession is a common one then your likely to find someone else with your obsession which isn't so bad. But you do have a good point there.

Aspies tend to take things literally, and probably you were being too honest or perhaps brutally honest with the question, hence the without NT powers thing, and he got offended, that is the kind of response NT people do, but so do aspies, you see, there are some things that aspies are not that different from NTs.

Yes, that happens as well, but I think that the way one approaches the obsession and when it is appropriate to come up with it and when is not, has a lot to do with it, but can we be sure when to be appropriate? I have some problems with that. I think popularity has something to do with it, along with the other thing, to make others to tolerate your obsessions and/or understand them, it depends also on how open minded are the people you are approaching with it. Well, I feel it is too complicated for me to even think about this stuff

I just don't understand why some aspies act like this by expecting another aspie to have NT superpowers instead of understanding the fact they make have this AS trait or that AS trait.

You really have a point and I agree with you, that is why I find some anti-NT and sometimes NT hating comments to be funny somehow and questionable, although they might be just ranting for having bad experiences, and those are perfectly understandable, however, some have come up with an idea of an utopian society with just aspies in it, giving the idea of dislike for NTs in general, (while I believe it is not that bad when just fantasizing but to take that seriously would be another thing). I am pretty sure such society would never work, because of the problems you already have mentioned besides others. Problems with social skills includes problems relating with other aspies as well, not just with NTs.
