That would be horrible. Do you have any idea how many people he'd ban? (Not that I'd do much better)

Why, thank you! That would be an honor! It truly would.

I promise that I would ban only people that break the rules in a blatantly abusive, arrogant, and ignorant manner, regardless of their religious beliefs.

Can WP survive with less than a dozen or so members? Just curious ...

Thanks for the warm welcome and wanting to have me around, Merle - apologies for being a bit too bolshy  And apols to moshi' too for for the same :)

I did the wired AQ test last night and again just now and the results were 33 and 34 respectively - which was a bit of a surprise - I'm not quite sure what that means but I guess it might have turn out to have been quite providential being directed here 8O

I'm glad to be here anyhow

It's called Peer review for those who have a problem with having their ideas considered by others. It is a very healthy thing in general and helps one develop a thicker skin and ground down teeth.

I consider that definition of 'peer-review' lopsided 8)

There is also the old saying that everybody is entitled to their own opinion.
You will see a lot of this stuff being exercised here so have fun as I always say.

I'm glad you found us, and that we were able to work through everything - welcome to Wrong Planet, and I look forward to us being able to comfortably talk more here in the future.

I think Fnord deserves a chance.

We could start up a forum on "Paranormal Phenomena and the Supernatural" and let him moderate that for a while. See how things go.

*looks at all the kindling, kerosene and matches and wonders where the BBQ is* I think that might compete for the most contentious locale on the entire site, to be honest. Could be interesting, could also be rather intense.

...whenever I enter PPR, I'm reminded of a quote from Lewis Black - "And the left hand side of the brain looks at the right hand side and goes, 'It's dark in here, and we may die.'"

We really need some type of stickied disclaimer about the intense atmosphere in PPR so people know what they're getting into. Or maybe a change in the forum description to include something along the lines of "There be dragons here, beware of flames."

And not just metaphorical ones either... some posters have claimed that others are going to spend an eternity in flames unless they start praying to Jesus! It does get hot in there. :ncool:

Interesting, ignorant is an adjective used mainly for Creationists and other Christians,
heard mostly from the mouths of militant atheists. I suppose I'll be one of the first banned.

Hum, you'll probably be promoted just for this negative nomination. :P j/k sorta.

Oh my... as long as moderators are made from ordinary people...

sorry, this moderator is not 'ordinary' people, this moderator is an Aspie. Perhaps you have heard that Aspies are not usually considered 'ordinary?'

that said, I don't know any militant atheists (they have an Army, now?) and I don't know any Creationists and don't hang with any Christians that I know of, but yet, I hear the term 'ignorant'. Do you think it is just a fluke I hear 'ignorant' used for people other than you do?

I cannot argue with the benefit of a disclaimer.
