When ret*d is used as a noun, it is always an insult or derogatory term.

It can be used as a verb "The snowstorm will ret*d our travel", but not as a noun in the English language.

the idea is an optional supporter thing so it wouldn't be required. i think you can get a special badge next to your name saying supporter.

You are right people do not talk this way and I have never seen anyone talk this way. But I am sure if it was used this way, someone would still take offense to it and if you try to use the dictionary to defend your use of the word, people will think you are doing the Argumentum ad dictionarium to justify your use of the word and think you were trying to insult the mentally disabled.

Reminds me how people have gotten in trouble for using the word niggardly. Now this is not a word we use in our everyday language so people have thought this word was used as a way to degrade black people and then use the dictionary to justify the meaning of the word niggardly.

We used to the have the support Wrongplanet thing and anyone who put money towards this site got a WP supporter badge on their profile.

On one hand you don’t want to give attention seekers attention or make a mountain out of a mohill. OTOH the Jews ignored the Nazis and look what happened.

Each case is individual. Which fringe group will only become a thing if publicly called out and which fringe group if ignored will cause avoidable terror and death?

well i had a page you could donate on paypal for the old site but i'd have to tweak it and set it up. I'd also want to know what people thought the main default options as far as $$ per month or per year should be.

Unfortunately I make most of my money from speaking and acting now and that hasn't happened because of this virus but then also most people aren't making much now so I don't know if people would feel like becoming supporters.

Also, maybe there's something of value that could make it more like a freemium model (it's free unless you want the extra content like a podcast or something else but that would be a whole lot of more work for me and i'm sort of already busy with a lot).

That's a great idea. Please share the details. I remember seeing those badges in the past, with former members.

It was not just the Jews who ignored. It was everyone else too. The onus on them not the Jews imo

Also there were ppl like Edward who renounced the crown to marry the divorced lady plus he didnt want to rule anyway who believed the Nazis had a point in a way.. And idk whether he was aware of the extent but he did seem to agree with Hitler

And this happensright now to other groups too

But this does not strike me as fair, especially since, as I have already noted, you can post literally anything negative about Donald Trump and nothing happens to you (except perhaps applause). And as a person that is fairly new to Wrong Planet, I found the "moderator" tussles to be disconcerting.

Chamberlain appeased Hitler foolishly. I don’t know how he truly felt about the Nazis. In retrospect, it was quite a weak move on his part.
