Maybe I am not taking into account that you know each other so well and you would not be so formal, I could see that.

Okay, maybe scrap the "I would like to bring to your attention" bit, it is a bit OTT in retrospect.
If, when I am teaching, someone makes a mistake, and I would say "don't say that you are wrong!" They would be frustrated, insecure and not know what part of the answer was incorrect, was it my pronunciation, context, grammar what was wrong??????? If I specify what specifically was wrong, then the "offender"
can have the chance to understand it, internalize it, rectify or modify it, and
avoid repeating the same mistake in the future . That would be a corrective process in the cases of misunderstandings, and sometimes the moderator could even retract the warning after clarification, if they were sufficiently unbiased. One way of viewing it, not the only one of course
