The adult section
18 = underage? 18 is the legal drinking age here, I don't see why it would be anything above that, I always thought when you turn 18 you're a legal adult everywhere.
When I was 18, people couldnt drink in bars until they were 20. This got weird at uni because you would have some people in the class who were 18 or 19 and some who were 20, so only half the class could go to the student pub.....
Now the law has been changed to 18.
In the US it still has the drinking age as 20 or 21 I believe

In 2006 the minimum age for becoming a UK Member of Parliament was cut from 21 to 18. There has been some talk of dropping it to 16. However, that would result in the somewhat anomalous situation of a person being able to be voted in, who could not actually cast a vote.
The UK voting age is 18, and that is the same age at which a person legally becomes an "adult" here.
Smoking and drinking are freely allowed at 18, too, except that a shop can legitimately refuse to serve someone if they do not look 21 and cannot provide any proof of age.
Oddly, a full car driving licence can be had at age 17 and sex comes a year before that.

This, IMO, is the best approach. After all, you can't keep the world hidden from kids forever.
