You made me laugh out loud with this. At one time I tried to enter my age as one year old (just in case of further identity filching which I'm now a bit sensitive about) and got kicked out of some of the WP forums - my silly mistake !:) Mods reaccessed me - they were apparently assured that I did sometimes act my age lol

Before Yahoo bought out what is now Yahoo groups (I don't remember what it was before, but it was a different company), I entered my birthdate to make me two years old at the time. Being two years old, they didn't display the adults only groups. I considered that to be a bonus.

By the way, when going to the profile, it only lets me edit the profile. I don't see any way of getting to the other preferences.

But there is a way. If you click on the messages thing at the top or on the send PM from the profile screen, it will take you to the section with the various options on the left.

At the top of the screen, when you are browsing the forums while logged in, there are links "My Account", "x new messages" (where x stands for the number of unread PM's you've got, it will be 0 if you don't have any) and "Log Out". click on the the button that says "x new messages" and it will take to a page with your inbox but there'll also be tabs on the left hand side of your screen which you can click to change your other preferences.

Yeah. Mine comes out as "Theap" which changes the pronunciation completely.

We can't go back to our old posts.

Hm. THIS must be why I haven't received e-mail updates of replies for a few days. WP reverted to a previous e-mail address for me.

But, the good news is that WP has finally diagnosed my Asperger's. And, it made me about 90 days younger. Yay! I was sure that I checked "Have Asperger's: Undiagnosed." Oh, well.

It's fun to experience such a dynamic web site. 8)

If it had a field for our weight, we could possibly lose weight real easily.

On the other hand, we might add pounds easily as well.

Yeah, I've noticed that too over the last couple of days. It's great if it will remain so.

Like some of the other people here, my age is completely wrong. It's not off by hundreds of years but 45 years old is more than double my actual age.

Same issue for me with not being able to change the avatar, and this changed with the big profile change recently.

I'm guessing it is the same issue for everyone, until what appears to be a software bug, gets fixed.

My new avatar shows up correctly on the profile page but it does not update on actual posts.

Hmm.. i really don't want to permanently be toting a BB Gun rifle over my shoulder but I guess the INTERNET IS FOREVER, relatively speaking, as well as a picture lasting longer than a stare. :)

At least i look tough.. haha!

That's the same thing I'm experiencing.

It also incorrectly displays my age as 45 in the profile. I would like to change my signature and my blog link, especially since the blog is inactive. Any news?

I wish! My profile says I'm a lot younger than the age displayed in my posts. I also can't view or edit my signature.
I'm having to log in every time I follow the link in an emailed topic reply notification from a newly-opened browser, and then when I do log in, it takes me to my profile page. That's got to be a bug, the threads I'm trying to visit are public, no login required.
Sometimes when I try to submit a post, I'm asked to log in again, but if I don't do that and then hit the browser's "back" button, and then the "forward" button, it submits my message.

Sometimes on the threads, if a post begins with a quote, then the quote box obscures the poster's avatar, though I've been able to read the names so far. Doesn't matter much.

My profile also says that I'm 45 years old. I'm an immature 40 - which is almost like being a 21 year old Mod, damn it!
