Is the search permanently disabled? You can't do keyword search at all, and search-for-all-posts-by-so-and-so just gives you one page, with the person's 10 or so most recent posts, and when you try to go to the second or 3rd or any other page, it returns you to the search form... and I know a lot of people would like to research their problems rather than start a whole new thread and wait for replies, and maybe not get enough...

This is my biggest "want" as well. I know the tricks for seeing people's older posts, but it's cumbersome. I'd like to be able to run a quick and simple search. Perhaps even to search a certain member's posts for specific keywords.

I would actually like a personal custom Emoticons list for a user, if that's at all possible. Makes giving out KBABZ Awards so much easier!

I never used the search function, I looked for posts the good ol' fashioned way!

Uhh, guys, check out the top of the page where it says Home | Discussion | Articles | Etc... Search is the one furthest to the right.

EDIT: Oh and it appears that Search is back in the normal fashion too!

Strange. When I click it I get the normal one, where I can choose users, Forums and Key Terms and stuff.

Some kind of "friends" list feature would be nice, ala MySpace or LiveJournal; I keep wanting to "friend" people, as I am bad at keeping track of them. I'm currently using MySpace as a kind of surrogate for this, but the overlap between MySpace and the Wrong Planet is incomplete and not entirely obvious.

Good fortune,

An option for different color schemes would be nice. Not a big fan of all the bright colors on the computer monitor. Minor issue, and obviously not a pressing one.

Threads not visible

Some of threads are not visible in their topic as you deleted kosmo2. As the database is de-normalized you can't just remove the member or post directly in the database there is other stuff that needs doing or it will produce odd results.

I can't find my thread in the friendship in interaction.

You can create a safe delete function.

• I want the search function back to its normal self.

• And once the search function is back to normal, I'd like to have the results highlight the keyword in a different color than light blue (and not green either). The light blue masks the words that are already against blue backgrounds. I suggest red or orange for highlighting the keword result.

• I want only new messages to be acknowledged on pages other than PM page. As it is now, I have to delete all my messages so that I can be notified when a new one is waiting for me.

Maybe when certain words represent a clickable link, like this right here, the text could be in a different color, or a more distinctive font so it's obvious that it's a clickable link.

Seconded.

And Flismflop, I don't understand what you're saying about your messages. I don't have to delete my old ones in order to be alerted to my new ones.

Edit: I just noticed a new message and tested it to see if the problem still occurs, and it seems to have been fixed. This is what was happening, before someone at WP apparently fixed it (disregard it unless you're still interested) :
I had a message which I'd already read, and it continued to notify, at the top of each page, that I had this message. After at least a month of that, I needed to purge it so that I'd notice if anyone had messaged me about something new or not. Once I deleted the message, it stopped trying to notify me of it at the top of each page. Now I can look at the top of the page and know whether a new message is waiting for me, without being misled about it. But I expected to have to delete the new message afterwards in order to purge it again, so I was quite annoyed with it.

uh...fourth'd? Spell-check complains about that "word," but no matter. :P

Probably along the same lines (not necessarily by cause) as the glitch that showed people as having 65535 messages. (Don't remember all the details behind that one, so not going to go into what few I do still remember.) Nonetheless, good that it was resolved.

Another non priority one. Smilies in code tags shouldn't appear.

Like so:

Code:
ffsd&:)&ddada& 8) sdasd

However:

Code:
8O&fsfsd 8O dfsef

IT think 8O is a controversial bbs code because it cause problems on many forums, when it was not intended to be typed. Sure it does depend on what character comes before and after it but still. It is already has a pseudonym of  so you can remove the 8O entry.

I vote against that. The avatar size seems pretty good to me. I find sites that allow huge avatars to be fairly content-free. Also, avatars take space on the server. An average member probably posts less in messages than they get space for their avatar, already.

i vote for... id like to have 200KB limit instead of 16KB... i could barely get my avatar to work with 16KB limit!

can we keep this thread related to features you'd like to see on WP? Thanks. :!:

@ 0_equals_true : I will look into fixing that.
