Maybe, but you will never be one. Acta est fabula.

Well, WP is low on mods right now. I think we've banned a few too many of them. We probably should recruit several more mods that are usually very hands off but are available by PM to clean up a mess if necessary.

Being a mod isn't all that is cracked up to be, it takes alot of time reading all the complaints or petty squabbles, it can be worse then babysitting 1000 pissed off ferrets, to be a proper mod you really have to use alot of diplomacy when dealing with people, no matter how annoying the people are, its really a thankless job at times. Also since all the mods come from many different timezones its a little unreasonable to get mad if they don't respond right away, they have sleep to,

I've seen some more odd choices for mods in my time.

If I were given the position in my heyday it would have been handy, but now I don't frequent enough of the boards for long enough to be at all useful because of the real world. No longer interested anyway, however I do still try and be as helpful as I can.

I think this whole image of mods being mean and having less, well, emotion needs to go. lau is the only one, to me, who doesn't have that because I at least knew him somewhat before his new position. I know the mods can be cool and silly (which we need more of from them, but not in a powerabusing way of course) but I need to work on getting that negative aura off them. Kinda like how I inherently think that all smokers are complete idiots, which is not true, and how some people think Aspies and Autists are completely incapable of going through life, which is also not true.

Thank you, spudnik. Have you guys ever heard of what a pure finder is? Sort of like what we do.

Your welcome Quatermass, I had to mod on another forum, and it wasn't a whole lot of fun, it was an unruly bunch of tech support geeks on a companie rant site :)

How is asking make you not ready?

Because you are seeking a position of power.

I see your point. I don't think it's an aspie thing what they are doing. Lot of people ignore what someone says. They don't listen to the words. Instead they ignore what they say and just make their own assumptions and they still have those false assumptions after the person corrects them. I hate human nature.

*Facepalms.*

You're not helping gbollard.

Besides, I'd prefer to have Davros as my avatar rather than Palpatine. More handsome. :lmao:

There is some schools of thought that say people who seek power are exactly the type you want.
The person who seeks power is predictable, and is always logical and predictable, as he will simply follow his instinct for self preservation, while the real enemy is the so called "zealot", who is never logical, as he is simply following an arbitrary set of rules, which can cause problems for the rest of society.

I don't really know though. Its political science, a subject that has always intimidated me. Maybe someone can elucidate. I know Ms. Thatcher thought of power in this fashion, and I don't think she was very popular.

Oh, but the real point is this - secret police
The real problem behind these attacks are the communists, roller skaters, and hippies.
