WP really slow for anyone else lately?

I wouldn't bother to write commentary on this place, I barely ever visit here. Its the Intenisty guys that have the grudge.

I don't have a grudge particularly either. What I find disappointing is that Alex would rather deny problems pointed out by his members as opposed resolve them. Its in his interests to do so, for Christs sake.

Yeah, the slowness is bad enough - but having that page that the site can't handle the load is utterly pathetic and completely unacceptable. With all the ads even with nobody donating there has to be a server that could handle more than 5 or 600 people without overloading like that.

it backs up every night at 10:PM to almost 11:PM PDT. It is 1:AM EDT. Saturdays it is at 11PM. I credit it with saving my day job when I first started posting on WP. It would time out for an hour and I would just go to bed.

That isn't the problem for me - I'm on the EST time zone and am never up that late. It seems to back up in the afternoon and evening.
