It is allot like beef jerky, at least that is what the stuff with the name brand Pemmican they often sell at truck stops tastes like. It isn't real Pemmican though...

I thought pemmican was like the Indian version of mince meat, with fruit and stuff and dried meat...but I'm not sure.
