Just FYI, and I appreciate everything you are doing to stop spammers, but I've been unable to access the site for two full days, and have been trying repeatedly over that time. The "few minutes" on the warning page has been on a repeating cycle that lasts a considerable amount of time, and simply repeats when I try again.

Sorry if this is already noted upthread; I scrolled through but didn't see that anyone had posted this issue.

Wouldn't not having JavaScript prevent me from coming here now? (It is enabled)

Just pointing out that the 5 seconds sometimes loops and becomes 20 minutes.

Other than not passing the cloudflare checks, no.

I don't think WP is under a DDoS attack though...
Good luck with the spam thing. I hope Alex gets this under control soon.

That depends on your definition of DDoS. Under the definition that my company, Alex, and the mods use - it is.

I got a notification when attempting to post that I have not seen before that asks to type in a catcha to prove you are not a bot. It had a space for a message to ask to be whitelisted. Is this something new to prevent the spam attacks? I've been receiving the check your browser message that has already been identified in this thread, and haven't paid much mind to that, but this seems like something that may be new.

^ That prompt has been in existence for a long while. Don't know what exactly triggers it.

I got prompted myself a couple of days ago... I was in the process of deleting a spammer's account in the admin part of the site and I got stopped by CloudFlaire saying it didn't like what I was posting! Talk about irony.

I had something similar pop up a couple of weeks ago when trying to preview a forum post, so I assume it decided there was something fishy about the content.

Thanks, it seems I am in good company and can be assured I am still just another internet number.:).

I got a faster computer and a faster keyboard, with no holes in it from typing too many words, and google chastised me shortly after with a captcha for typing in too many searches on a similar subject too fast, I guess mistaking me as a bot to increase add word rankings or something of that nature. And no it wasn't pornography:).

Can't complain though it's all free and this site is now lighting fast with my new cheap computer, modern anti virus software, fortunate speed of internet connection somewhere in the 18MB download range.
