I acquired a fancy umbrella at the thrift shop last winter. Red, with a bamboo handle and a brass tag that says "opium" on it. I was pretty thrilled. Still makes me smile when I use it. Reminds me of a scene in a Jet Li (I think) movie.

Opium is a brand of perfume. The graphics on the product are a bamboo inspired pattern in black and red. The original owner must have acquired the umbrella as part of some promotional package that include a bottle of the perfume.

I am sure its cool to look at. But if anyone asks you CAN tell them that you're not promoting the abuse of opium based drugs.

I remember the days when sometimes when you submitted a post a message popped up saying "WP is having a high amount of posts and cannot handle the load" or something like that.

The heyday of forums was about 2004 to 2010. Even by the time I joined them back in 2013 I was reading about how much activity was declining. I doubt that there is one that has much more activity than WP these days.

I'm amused that those are the exact years (2004-2010) I was on (non-ASD) boards. Those were active at that time but went by the wayside. I suppose they went to FB and the like. I am on one FB ASD support group but it's not active.

Things would be better if people made the effort to post things I personally find to be interesting and entertaining. Just ask yourself, "how much will Ezra like this post?".

I joined here towards the end of 2012. There were some very entertaining posters who have vanished since then, such as Cornflake and TallyMan (ex-mods), Krabo, Moomingirl, invisiblesilent, TenPencePiece, ThetaIn3D etc to name a few. Luckily we have numerous members who still post here regularly and have been joined by newer ones who keep it going!

Our planet's going strong and isn't about to get swallowed by a supernova.

Ah, Ezra came up with a good one there. There needs to be an Ezra Scale - on a scale of 1-10 how much would Ezra grade it?

Pity we don't have upvotes like on Quora or FB!

Maybe it is just a lull but WP has really been tanking lately.

Yes, we need a few tanks to appear on the horizon.

Thanks for making it less barren with your brand of Ezralawn.

Wish a few of the "old" members would return. Life's busy though... Imperial and Rebel affairs get in the way.

I like rats. They’re cute.

I wonder why people are afraid of them.

I also love rats for the same reason. They're adorable.

I like pet rats and think they are cute.

Wild rats creep me out though.

idk why that is.
