I called it pointless because alex made it clear he'll never add one.

Duh.

I know. But I doubt you'd think it was pointless if he'd said there'll never be a women's thread. Not that, that'd ever happen in a billion light years on the site, cause we're all about equality here ya'll.

You're assuming a lot about me on sexist grounds and created a really big hypothetical to do it. :?

Funny, you were doing the same to me lately all the time, it's annoying , isn't it?

Isn't it a support group?

Supposedly. There's a lot of people who need to be reminded of that fact, the least of which being you, MidlifeAspie and I.

No, I wasn't. I was labeling exactly what you were doing based on exactly what you said.

Ok fine..... if it's pointless then it's pointless, can't we just pretend that it's not pointless? It's a free country.

What country? The US? Lebanon? This isn't a country at all, it is a rented virtual space.

If you want to pretend then please feel free to do so. I feel the need to drop in every once in a while and give you honest feedback. My doing this is the only response you are likely to see from anyone associated with the site, so I figure that if you are going to spend your time protesting "The Man" then "The Man" should have the decency to show up once in a while to respond instead of just ignoring you.

This is the best I can personally do for you.

Were you really under the impression that you're on a different planet when you're participating on this message board?

 no. I was kidding. I'm always on a different planet anyway.

It can be. It can be what you make of it. It can be a support group, it can be a fun place to hang out, or it can be the cause of perseveration if you choose to instead spend your time nitpicking over perceived injustices. No place is perfect. You can enjoy what is available, or you can choose to instead complain about what isn't. I think you will get more out of the former because I think you will get nothing out of the latter, except maybe a feeling of camaraderie with the other people who are latching onto this subject as well.

If that is your goal then I would not want to come between you and it, but I also don't want you living under the misconception that anything will come of this.

Nope. I never would.

I know people hold grudges and dislike others for disagreements and arguments on internet forums, but I don't. Even in real life, it's a hard lesson for me to learn. I end up treating people much nicer than they treat me as a result... just because there was a disagreement once upon a time. I'm more of a let's-have-a-drink-and-forget-it kind of person. It's hard for me to think bad of people just because they do things or say things I don't like.

Yeah, grudges are never a good thing.
