Considering that it uses a captcha system, I cant imagine what in the bloody hell else it could be for. Captchas exist solely to stop bots. That's literally the entire point of them. To make sure you arent a bot. That's their only function.
THIS one, as far as I can tell, does nothing at all, because it doesnt STOP anything whatsoever.
And this is taken directly from Cloudflare's own site:
"We also block threats and limit abusive bots and crawlers from wasting your bandwidth and server resources. The result: CloudFlare-powered websites see a significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks."
To be honest, reading over their own service description just makes me dislike it even MORE, because it's doing NONE of what it's supposed to; the site is often both slow AND filled with bots and spam. It actually seems more ridiculous to me now. I didnt think that was possible. I now know otherwise.
