I guess the question is: Has Alex been working on the problem or does he think that he fixed it already?

Glad to know that I'm not the only one who feel like ripping all the hair out of my scalp over this.

The captcha problem is still, um, a problem. Alex, are you there?

I hate Capcha with a passion. Half the time I cannot distinguish the letters numbers in the fancy lettering and text. It is plain annoying. In all honesty I rather pretend that I am robot than human species if just typing in the Capcha is the requirement for humanity.

I take back what I said with the frequency of the posts: first post today 2 capchcas, preview and submit!

I have never gotten any before expect once every six weeks, maybe, and only post here maybe two or at most three times a day and recently not even once on some days, but today I got them when making a post, each time I previewed it (and I always preview a lot as part of my writing process) and also when submitting....it did have a quote in it and this does not....now will see what happens...

okay...just previewed...and now will preview again....no capatcha,,,presumably because there is no quote in this message....

okay ..now lets see...no capatcha....almost disappointing....ha ha....

now will submit...and then make another post quoting this directly....

okay...just got a capatcha and then two "no posts modes' so went back to this page....and now will try to post...must mention I got the two "no post modes" after my system faltered and an "allow" request came up on foxfire....which I did not respond to as I am kind of dim...so the direct quote is one glitch and the foxfire thing is another....now will preview...just editged this and will try to submit.

okay now have quoted again but again without pressing the quote button...will now submit...and i hope people appreciate this somewhat methodical test i am doing....as i did notice a lot of chaotic and disorganized responses to the situation on here.....except the funny ones....they made sense:::=)

okay...no capatcha and now am on an edit..ha ha heeee

okay....re the previous message, no capatcha on the edit....

so do not press the quote button if you do not want a capatcha, but you can probably cut and paste the quote into your message and quote it from there....also a lag on the system, possibly even around capatcha's is generating these no posts allowed....

because the system is so massive there are probably a lot of lags on the average so so computer....i know there always have been on mine with this system and sometimes it has frozen my computer, but as far as i am concerned it is still worth it....

i do not use chat as my interest is in low volume mediums (bulletin boards), but i know that chat can be addicting....so people who do use that are probably pretty frustrated...personally i like to think about something for a long time before i respond....and...

now will see if this submits directly and if it does then will not write anymore for now...

Other tests have already shown that it's not consistent - challenges can still occur when there are no quotes.

Doesn't happen to me.

well,that is what i discovered and hope it will continue to work for me... i think it is a very big vibrant forum which is overloaded at this point, and may not be so easy to fix...so suggest that people tone the volume of their posts down and try to quote only the part of the message they are replying to....i am thinking there may be no way to fix it....am not computer savvy at all...am an old woman (though still very good looking:-) but a possible solution might be to separate chat from the general forums and make a different website for it.... just guessing.....

if it continues, maybe something could be written up for new members explaining about this glitch...i understand the captcha or whatever they are called could be frustrating for visually impaired people or just confused people like myself....and also, they slow down the flow of whatever is occurring here, which i find interesting-- both what I think/feel is occurring and also the slowing down of the flow....maybe it is 'God' or 'the devil's' way of slowing down something that could be important...maybe it is unsynchronicity---ha de ha hee ha....

okay, i just tried to post this and got the no post specified message twice, so my theory about the allow button and foxfire was wrong....anyway, maybe it is some kind of supernatural phenomena...by supernatural meaning there is some kind of physical cause but people do not have enough info about physical laws of the universe to understand what it is....so not actually God or the devil, of course....
