Someone want to explain this?
Where do you get the impression I want the rules changed just for me? I'm saying that for ANYONE, to keep them as such is illogical.
and you, BlackjackGabbiani, I see the meaning of the word 'troll' as: Posting derogatory messages about sensitive subjects on newsgroups and chat rooms to bait users into responding.
Is this your intention?
Merle
How was anything I've ever said on this board "derogatory" or "about sensitive subjects" or "baiting"? I see absolutely nothing of the sort.

the answer is either "yes" this is my intention, or "no" this is not my intention.

Perhaps you need to learn to be a little less foul-mouthed and profanity-dependent in real life.

You act as though it's every other word out of my mouth. When something is appropiate to the situation, it ought to be able to be spoken.
When Bono said "fking brilliant" after winning a major award, would you consider him to be "foul-mouthed and profanity-dependent"?
Oh yeah, and I'm a published writer too, Fnord. Do you have no respect for the full functionality of language?

He's not 'profanity-dependent' just because he said that, but if he had insisted that there was no other word that could convey his feelings, then that would be silly because the real meaning of f***ing is 'having sex' or 'having sex with' and a better word could surely be found.

Have a question about the site? Found a bug? Have any suggestions? Post your issues, questions, and ideas in this forum.
You have discussed the rules. You have received replies explaining why we like them as they are.
It seems that you find them unacceptable.
You have already found yourself apparently incapable of following them. E.g. you have tried sneaking swearwords past the filter. Leaving out letters is a pretty feeble trick.
I suggest you leave the site, as that will save us the trouble of banning you, when you further break the rules, which seems likely, at present.
Of course, the alternative is for you to accept the rules as they stand. They work, for this site. Maybe you could come to understand that, if you spent some time here.

I believe some women seem to find that attractive from a man, and the other way around (male/female). To each his/her own.
I was trying to demonstrate how effective non-profane language is at getting the same message across as profane language.
Yes, you have demonstrated how to do some damage without swearing.
2. Personal attacks.
This includes insinuation, ridicule and personal insults, regardless of whether direct or indirect. Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not.
Is ridicule included? and how that works? Also, how can we tell something is indirect?
Well, yes, this isn't a democracy, it is a dictatorship.
What's wrong with that?
The thing is that a private website is not subjected to same laws as in the real world, I mean, you cannot legally claim discrimination because a member is banned, even if that was the case, there are no courts, no trials and no lawyers in this "community", although I read MrMark saying you can appeal a decision with another mod. We could say however, that some of the reasons might be 'political' as any organization would I suppose.
I don't see what's wrong with that, it's quite interesting.

I will now write myself a sniffy PM, telling me to stop posting this drivel.

It is not ridicule to draw attention to one's mistakes in a corrective manner.
It is ridicule to draw attention to one's mistakes if "... a child could have done better" (Quotes used to illustrate what is only an example of ridicule).
Thus, it would not be ridicule to point out when someone is using all caps in their postings, and to ask them to "please refrain." But it would be ridicule to intentionally embarrass or shame the person into complying with common practice (i.e., "Is that how they talk in your end of the trailer park?").
Then again, there is a lot to be said in favor of developing a "thick skin."

Do you think that you are owed an explanation for this?
On the site that you work for, how would you handle someone, who had been a member for less than two weeks, demanding an explanation for every rule he didn't agree with?
