So people were piling up on fnord for his autism? Don't you know people with autism are religious about rules and if they are broken, they do something about it. I thought members here would be understanding about it.
It has always been a peeve of mine that either the same rules should apply to everyone, everywhere, and all of the time, or they should never apply to anyone at all.League_Girl wrote:
I agree that reports should be taken to PM so members don't feel shamed or bullied. Or simply hit the report button. Then no one will know who reported them and who did the report and how many people did it.
It might take days before a response to a 'Report' button becomes apparent, and during that time a member (new or old) could be making the same infraction over and over again, thus making the problem worse and leaving an even bigger mess for the mods to clean up.League_Girl wrote:
And I don't think fnord reporting a member posting two same threads was his intent to get that member banned or do it to shame them, I think he just wanted the mod to merge them and have that member be informed about it.
I have no intent to "blame and shame" anyone, despite what my detractors may say to the contrary.
