Why, when you select a line to apply a style to, does the popup completely occlude the style buttons?
 That's not happening here.
It has been happening for me for a long time now when viewing posts on my phone if the quote is at the begging of the reply & the person quoting has an avatar. Only happens on my phone though regardless of which browser I seem to use but never happens on my desktop computer.

And I actually like that one
I'm always jealous of his lovely teeth

I'm not even joking

I'd also like to suggest that the creater of a thread can't be reported for allowing their own thread to go off topic. Especially in the small talk section of the site as it's random anyway

I ask this in all sincerity because it happend once to me in here and everyone was getting along nice and then a moderator just steamed in and that was that.
I'll never forget that happening because it was my first encounter with this culture of just pushing the report button

Oh yeah and to put the cherry on top of the cake I more or less got called a p**** (by a disgraced moderator who had previously been banned) on the back of that because I didn't stand up for my rights on my thread

I mean I obviously have learning difficulties because it's taken me quite a while to see the web that has been woven in this case

It's an android tablet (I find the site unusable on my phone)

I suspect it started happening with the last Firefox update.
For some reason FF YouTube links now open at 120%
Anything can suddenly zoom if you fart or blink or something.
Guess it's time to try another browser.

The edit post function doesn't work on one of my devices so even if I thought twice about something I'd said I wouldn't stand a chance

It happens to me on an iPad, if I use the Safari or Firefox browser, and have the screen in Portrait mode. In Landscape mode it looks OK.

As earlier, it seems to be a browser/platform issue.

If I turn the web page's Zoom size down to 75% or 80%, then portrait looks OK again on iPad - no popover problem as in my screenshot. Fonts become tiny. The iPad has a HiDPI, sharp screen, but the tiny words are just barely readable, wearing glasses.

To dodge the popover problem in Librewolf on a Raspberry Pi (1080p), I have to dial down the Zoom to 90%, when librewolf is occupying half the screen (so window width of 960 pixels). I like viewing your site with two Librewolves tiled side by side - the forum index on left side, then some deeper content in a thread in the right-hand librewolf. Then I have several tabs in each window.

I just installed Firefox on my Android tablet and out of the box, with no tweaks or addons, it's working fine (and previewed & posted this).

If you have a laptop, you shouldn't avoid using Edge. It's actually very compliant. I've actually used sites that worked in Edge but not in Chrome. Recently I have only used FireFox for very specialized situations.

I guess Safari is OK but I have personally hated it for a long time because when I used to develop web interfaces for a financial services company, the worst problems we had were with Safari users due to weirdness unique to Safari, although I suspect that Safari has become more compliant in recent years. But the Safari users insisted on using only Safari, they would never consider using another browser whereas you could probably convince a FF user to switch to IE or Chrome.
