This has now happened too many times. I have lost posts and it is too frustrating. I don't even think I put the wrong thing in the box but sometimes they are so hard to decipher, I can't be sure. I won't be posting again.

to panddora and others, if you press the green check mark it will give you different letters and you will not lose your message....i think you can do it as many times as you want, but am not sure if indefinitely....also if you back button on your computer you can get back to the original message and cut and paste it elsewhere to save it or to start over....that is one of the features i love about this system....i know it is frustrating and i am sorry, but as i said:-) maybe God, the devil or even pure laws of physics have a hand in this...did anyone ever really look at some of the letter and/or word combos that are given?...i am deeply interested in word roots, and some of the correlations between the two words or letter combos and even sets of these seem over correlated, and yet i do not think it is done deliberately...or it is and it isn't....i am assuming people make these up....and that could be boring so need to be made fun...could someone tell me how ithat aspect of it works, please???

Hello Littlebee, they will be generated randomly by the program.

I just got two captchas on my first preview-then-post of the day.

Thankfully I'm not getting them every single post or preview anymore (nor twice in a row anymore unless I actually make a mistake), but I wish they would stop.

Zero change. I think you need to get rid of CloudFlare ASAP.

As someone who is as involved in the autism community as you are, I would think you better then anyone would understand how wrong it is to put people who already have issues through this type of aggravation. People come to a site like this to relax an have a nice place to discuss their problems. Not for the aggravation of typing CAPTCHA a hundred times a day. If they are even capable of it. Many here have reading disabilities, which make it impossible for them to the decipher the CAPTCHA. Which means that they are totally shut out of the site.

Wrote a reply, didn't get captcha right twice so got an error message, backed up to find my reply still there and tried again. The second time it worked, but also double posted.

Adblock is your friend. I don't know how any aspies survive without it.

Either that or drag the window partly off the left side of the screen, so you don't have to see the ad.

Thanks littlebee. The trouble is I think it is right and press the green tick and promptly lose it. I should get into the habit of copying the message first.

To Panddora...so when you say you lose it, this means you can not backspace to the original message I am assuming. I have never had that, but my messages tend to be long, so i still copy them just in case (since this has started), and i have a place to put them as i always have outlook express open, but I guess you can just cut and do not have to paste it till you post it again......so do you lose the whole page of wrong planet? Is your computer old? This forum is too big...and too profound for my computer to handle... sometimes it cannot shift from one application to another, such as to outlook or a search page when i am on wp so i have had to try to close down one application such as outlook to get it to work and then the other pages shut down, too...

Here is the thing...do not leave or stop posting....maybe it will just slow us down a bit to think about what is really important to us and what we want to inquire into about that and how to best say it.....

also, and this may sound whacky, this particular phenomena may be more interesting than on the surface it appears, as the internet is an electromagnetic medium and sometimes human trends and tendencies re the (re)organization of felt/experienced material can affect what is happening here, so on some kind of level 'something' or 'someone' (maybe ourselves:-) could be telling us to kind of slow down...and whether this is actually true or not, if we take it as such, this can and will affect what is happening, as it plays into perception.

p.s. i did not quote anything in this message and for the first time i was not quoting got a captcha, but maybe because i did first press the quote button to respond to you and then decided not to and backspaced...will have to do a test on that........

Thanks Littlebee. I am not stopping but might slow a little. I use an iPad and it works fine for me. For me this is a secret part of my life at the moment so rarely use my main PC.

The captcha sucks. Can anyone recommend an alternative site? Or should we start a new one. Seriously.

These are the ones that I have seen recommended. Unfortunately it's hard to get people to change websites. Unless a lot of people all migrate over to another site, it probably won't catch on. Then the question would be, can the other site even handle all the extra traffic.
