When I post something I want to see it go onto the board, not be redirected to some page about WrongPlanet being busy.

Especially as the Back button on the browser isn't working properly here, i.e. it doesn't take me back to my post to resubmit with all its content present.

this website is a joke tonight. it just keeps getting slower and slower.

Even if it wasn't for the annoyance of having that happen, the video is definitely a tl;dw.

Yeah alex isn't really my type.

I don't mind so much a video being posted, but it should be something short. A 50 minute video for us to watch while waiting 2 or 3 minutes?

The web server has a certain capacity that it can't go over. When too many people connect to the site at the same time and the server gets overloaded, it automatically gives that page with the video. The page is not the result of an error with the site, it's the result of too many people accessing the site at the same time. If you're that annoyed, you could donate money to the owners of the site so they could get on a server with a higher capacity.

As it is, someone's paying the hosting fees so that none of us have to pay to use this site. Web sites aren't free, this all costs money, and someone is paying fees to keep this site up and they seem to be using only a little bit of advertising to offset the costs.

What would constitute "a lot of advertising" if you think there's "only a little" here? An entire page of ads where you can read one word of posting at a time?

In most browsers using "ALT + [LEFT ARROW]" will go back. The same is true for going forwards... I have a 5 buttons mouse, so I use that more...
