WP looks like a porn site with all those lame before-after-ass,bikini/stomach ads all around, it's pretty embarrassing to browse it in public or at work. Don't you think so?

It's actually a bit worse than that, because those ads are for acai scams.. there was a thread in the general discussion forum entitled "Trapped in acai berry hell"... by someone who got sucked into the scam.

the ads aren't directly contracted by WP, though, they're through Google or something.. so they can't control them. If you get an ad-blocker you don't have to see them.. but if you're on a public computer you might not be able to do that.

I was going to post something about this myself. I appreciate the fact that the site is free to us and adverts help pay for the cost, but I am finding it a bit much getting constantly hit with these adverts. It's kind of gross constantly seeing pictures of flabby bellies and exposed body parts. I don't know if there's much that can be done about it, though, aside from running personal ad blockers.

Maybe that is it.

It is really stupid because you can buy acai berry juice in the supermarket reasonably without the hype, yet people are suckered into paying premium prices for stock they can't keep on the basis that they can 'cure' their ailment.

A little bit a research would save some people some agro.

Something can be done about it they aren't relevant ads. You have some control over ads on your site.

LOL, I was going to gripe on the before and after pictures looking so fake.

Just based on the tummies, they don't even look like the same person....

I just hate false advertising /:

One thing to notice is not only will they charge you credit card for a lot more than pills, they will also use embarrassment in order to try an prevent you from reporting it, such as ordering you colon cleanser or impotence drugs.

Yea, but the ads are EVERYWHERE and they claim it's endorsed by Oprah and CNN and stuff, and they also hack into yahoo accounts and spam there.. got multiple messages from a friend about it when they broke into her account.
They probably put in false keywords on the ads.. I don't think the site can control it.

I hate them too, but I don't think that the virus protection program I have has an ad blocker upgrade. I googled but :? I'm confused on how to do it so I don't have to see the bellies.

If you use Firefox, get the Adblock Plus extension. (I think there are some other extensions that do similar things) If you use IE.. get Firefox. :P

Well, it's driving me nuts because I have a flabby belly myself and am getting tired of feeling inadequate when I see these bellies.

I have firefox, I'm going to look into this Adblock Plus thing. Is it free though?

I always adblock , it's working perfectly at home. For some reason, it's not working at office, but that matters not since I rarely check wp at work.

Hmmm, I wonder if those ads appear in the 'Love and Dating' discussion, I think it would make some sense why they would appear there :P Although appearing in the 'Health, Fitness, and Sports' discussion would make more sense.

I just ignore them and think nothing of it. It's not like they're nekkid or anything.
