Strange error message

phpBB : Critical Error

Error doing DB query userdata row fetch : session_pagestar

First time I've had that one. Does WP need a sticky-plaster?

I bet they are arguing whether a ghost is eligible. :lol:

btw session_pagestart() is called at the start of page integration, and a database query failed at that time.
Seeing that wp can be quite slow at times, the query may have simply timed out because of overload.

Another strange error message. I was logged in at the time but WP was very sssslllllllloooooooooowwww.

wow TallyMan, you must be spending a lot of time on wp to see so many errors. I wonder if other high usage users are seeing these errors too.

I had another one last night that I didn't bother mentioning, something about a malformed request from the (Firefox) browser being rejected by the wp server.

I see a lot of errors, and I think it is because we access it so much. More often do I get a page that doesn't have the same colors and shape of the usual thread page. Different font, white color background and blue text, frames blown wide open (or no frames at all, actually.) It can still be read, and even posted to, but it is definately an error on the phpBB .

(phpBB is the type of software the forum is on)

On purpose, so I may experience WrongPlanet.net as most any newbie, I use MSIE with no ad block whatsoever. I have been accessing WP for maybe 12 to 18 hours a day for three years. I have gotten a lot of error messages in that time, though much less since Alex upgraded the servers a while back.

I don't see any errors with WP it may be slow loading some days, I do clear my cache and cookies at least
once a week, I also don't have alot of tabs open in firefox, and don't have alot of addon's only ad blocker.
I should add, if you are using Internet Explorer the Index.dat file can get very large and has to be cleared,
since there is no way to clear it in windows you need a program like CCleaner or Tracks Eraser.

Same here, but with certain cookies and most pop-ups blocked. One problem I do have, however, is that my cache gets loaded or something and page loads get progressively slower after a while ... and yes, FriskeyGirl, CCleaner is great!

I use CCleaner, too, (thank you for the tip, Postpaleo) and keep my MSIE cache at 50 (thanks for the tip, Lau!)and dump my browser temp files twice a day. It keeps me running.
