I was banned for 'evading a ban' when I had not previously visited it. How could they misinterpret me as someone else and take decisive action on it? I might have been a little blunt occasionally, but none of my actions truly justified a ban.

Worse of all, SneakThieff, the individual who banned me, did not reply to any of my messages which sought to resolve the situation CORRECTLY. It's as if he has no concern for enforcing rules appropriately within the right context. How could someone be this unreasonable?

It was a mistake and he takes no actions to consider the possibility that it was, which is either very arrogant or foolish. There cannot be any true evidence against me being another individual who was previously banned when I've not visited it before.

Update:

It seems they may have simply banned me for not liking my character - which indicates an intolerant community of people with elitist standards. I'm quite sad that I was banned for simply not conforming to their expectations of what constitutes right for participants...

All I want is a reason for being banned when I do not seem to have committed a bannable offenses.

I could understand this if I was trolling only.

Follow your gut feeling and think 'yes' to be decisive.

I don't understand: there's no little red cross nor the word "banned" under your nickname and you're still writing, so?

The chat room - which is connected to the forum quite closely, I must say. If they're interwined, they reflect each other.

The forums and the chat room are run and moderated as two entirely separate entities; if you have issues in the chat room, I suggest sending a PM to Kassiane here through the forums, as she works with the forum moderators to help resolve issues.

Wait, I don't understand.. how could you be banned for them not liking your character if you were banned for evading a ban when you'd never been to the chat before? It's rather difficult to dislike the character of someone you've never spoken with at all.
I would have figured that you had the recycled IP address of someone who had previously been banned from the chat.. (I dunno, I don't use the chat, but from what people have said before, that sounded like it could be the case.)

The forum and chat room aren't all that closely linked. If they were a ban from one would likely yield a ban from the other. Obviously this isn't so. Also, the 2 media have different opping/moderating teams and largely different regular users.

I'm happy to answer questions about IRC via PM, but I am not so happy to see attacks on other ops and their motivations. They're pretty rude, not to mention unconvincing.
