I did Nanowrimo this year, and one of the ways you can donate is by using the Goodsearch toolbar. Each search gives a certain amount of money to whichever company you sponsor, and purchases from partner sites automatically have a percentage donated.

I'm not sure how Alex would set this up, but I would definitely do it, and if every one who makes online purchases would do it too, we could raise a decent amount for WP. I think it's something worth looking into, even if it's decided against.

No! its a toolbar that sends private info, I don't think its a good idea to be installing potential spyware on your computer

I've not had any trouble with it and I've had it installed for two months. I'm a computer tech by trade, I'd recognize spyware. But I can understand the concern, so many of these toolbars ARE crapware out to eat your system.

At 0.01c per search, there would need to be quite a few using it and using it regularly. Some of the charities on GoodSearch only make like $2 a month from it. I also find the lack of the facility to make your search country specific annoying.
