Anyone else finding the site slow/ sluggish?

Seems over the xmas days WP has been slow and sluggish and I have been getting that "we are having heavy traffic, be back soon" message. Can anything be done about this?

Alex is still trying to tweak stuff but WP needs a new server. I don't understand servers and such and why we go from ok one week to Christmas etc. busy messages and SUPER SLOW (Better now though but Christmas and the 26th I could barely access WP) I'm also getting the Busy message at around 300ish members I usually don't get this til close to 600. Like I said I don't understand the concept of a server or how the internet works. This isn't some OMG ticketmaster tickets going on sale or some Toysrus toy it's Wrongplanet! :-) LOL!
