I think a category for men's discussion should be made... it's only fair, espescially for a network so fond of equality. I'm female myself but I see a lot of guys getting upset about this. Men have their own set of issues too. Now, I know that autism is statiscially more common in men than in women, but, especially for a pro-neurodiversity affiliated website, don't you think you should promote equality of the sexes as well?

There was one - it was removed. There is a men's sticky in the In-Depth Adult Discussion forum; however, the issue has been brought up repeatedly, and it has been shot down each time.

Practically the entire forum is a Men's Discussion forum. The Women's Discussion forum is one small subforum. I don't see what the complaint is.

I think there should be a forum for us centenarians - in large type, and preferably near a loo.

Why is it taken down every time? Can't there just be strict guidelines set up preventing any discussion which would piss off a moderator?

just for you, pinkbowtiepumps, a concise set of rules and principles that prevents discussion that would tick off a moderator. http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt12459.html

I keep seeing this topic come up, I think the answer is obvious, the old Mens forum was to much of a problem, I sort imagined it as populated by a bunch of adolescent male chimps throwing poop, I really don't think any mod wants to be babysitting that mess again. Besides the Love and Dating is the perfect for example of the topics covered in your typical mens forum

Since this comes up fairly often, maybe it should be put in the FAQ. (Do people read that?)

It was taken down just the once.... mainly for being "populated by a bunch of adolescent male chimps throwing poop".

(Thanks for that extremely apposite image, Friskeygirl. :))

(Actually, I'd replace "chimps" with "Bonobos", to make it even closer to the truth.)

you might be onto something there, McTell. The Adult section is what became of the Men's Discussion group anyway. Or was that In-Depth Adult ? I never under stood that one.

So I guess no girls allowed in that forum???

I don't need a Men's Discussion place,
I already have one

Why no girls? Guys are allowed in the women's forum, it's just many (most?) topics in that section tend to only be of interest to, um, those of the fairer sex. Sometimes something in that section comes up, and provokes a wider interest, but...

(I usually find the threads I look at on the home page. I rarely pay any attention to what section of the site a thread is in when I post, if I have something to say on the topic. I only go through and look at what other threads there are in different sections if I am bored, as I kinda am today.)
