...all this in-fighting, grievances and grudges... it really gets to me. Over the past few days, there's been perfectly sensible topics just devolving into a few people who have issues in other threads hurling insults back and forth. Normal, irrelevant topics disappear or are locked, the number of little red Xs for banned members is becoming noticeable... I just can't stick this negativity any more. I know I'm not directly involved with any of it, but I'm seeing it everywhere, and it's a real blow, to see this happening on the site that got me through some tough times towards the end of last year. I joined because immediately I started browsing the forums, I felt a warm sense of community and acceptance...and now that's gone. I've always felt it a bit too much, when people around me start fighting and hurting each other, but I never thought that that could happen online. And now it has.

So, I'm outta here. Maybe...hopefully...it'll only be temporary, and I can come back in a month or so and see everything back to how I'm sure Alex intended WP to be.

I hope your leave is only temporary; take a break, and we'll see you when you return.

I understand how you feel. I'm a little devastated by all of this, as well. Despite it all, I just can't quit WP - it's become part of my routine.

I'm sorry you feel this way but you didn't have to be in this section if it bothered you that much.

To be fair, as internet forums get larger, so do the number of douche bags on them. Unless WP goes back to having 600 members like it had when I registered, you will never be satisfied with the quality of the posts. It sucks, but its the way it goes.

Don't let a pack of losers ruin your time here. There are just as many cool members.

I can understand wanting to take a break for a bit, I think many here are feeling stressed out and wanting to take a break from the forum, this isn't a regular event at WP
