Live chat bug? Never had this problem -- banned?

I just tried several times to go to the live chat linked from this website. I've been in that chat room a few times before, and I'm always polite and well behaved. (I'm 43, and if I do say so myself, I think I'm a bit more patient than some of the younger users -- certainly not all -- which isn't meant as a slam on them, just that I think that in my case greater patience certainly has come with greater age. I could be a real prick when I was younger.)

Today I've tried to logon several times and I keep getting this message that I'm banned from the #wrongplanet IRC channel.

I have always previously just logged on as a guest. I only made this wrongplanet net account today so I could make posts here to try to find out what happened.

I'm always respectful on live chat, and it's been a really helpful source of support during these late nights when I need a little friendly contact to get through my more anxious times. I just can't imagine I've violated a rule or offended anyone. That's just not like me at all.

(A few days ago I received a concussion from a scooter accident, and yes I was wearing a quality helmet, but my memory is a bit scattered right now, especially with the pain meds I'm on, so forgive me if I've forgotten something.)

I think this must be an error or a bug. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I'm only here to chat maybe once per month, and it's been really quite helpful to have non-judgemental people to talk to.

If this is not an error or a bug, and if I have somehow transgressed a rule without realizing it, I'm very sorry, and I would like to know what I might have done so I can make amends, because I don't like thinking I might have offended someone. I ask that you think that, if I did something wrong, it was an error in judgement or a misunderstanding, and please don't think malice was intended. And if so, please let me know what I did so I can learn from it. (I have always used the nick dcs002 or DCS002 for chat.)
