I am not receiving these anymore. Anyone else with the same problem? Is it just the spam filter? I am using Hotmail. Thanks.

Apparently, members here have reported many times that there have been issues with Push Notification on Hotmail and possibly on Yahoo!.
The only thing I can suggest to you is that you can use Google Mail, I've heard that it works.

Thank you, superboyian. It's strange because it's only just stopped working in the last few days. I will just have to register for my Virgin Media address.

Thanks.

This thread might be helpful as to how others have had the same issue.

Thank you. I did search for previous post regarding this, but obviously not hard enough!

Hey, I found a solution for those using Hotmail!!

When on your emails, click "Options">"More options". Then, under "Junk Email" click "Safe and blocked senders">"Safe senders". Then, under "Sender or domain to mark as safe:" type "alex@wrongplanet.net" and click "Add to list > >". Done!

Mine has not worked for months and then suddenly today it started sending me notifications for the Interview thread and YMBAAI. Only those two, but it's done it every time there's been a new message Really quite strange.

Is this working without adding alex@wrongplanet.net to your safe senders list?

Yes, I never changed anything. It used to work fine and then it stopped a few months back, and then it started working again for those threads.

You mean, my special solution isn't really what's saved the day?! NOOOO!! !! ! I would be able to tell you if the safe senders list was working for other sites if I ever got any damn PMs on them!

You can still take credit if you'd like. Maybe by adding it to your safe senders you let hotmail know it's a safe sender and they have now allowed it for all of us again. Unlikely to be the case, but I'm willing to believe it, so thanks! :D
