Banned Friend

A friend of mine who recently moved countries can't access her account here at WP anymore. It says she's banned. I wanted to find out for her what can be done about it. She's now at an educational institution, so I figure that there might have been an I.P. wide ban on that address or something? I clearly know very little about such things.

Does she get this error message when she doesn't get a log into the forum? If she still gets it and she doesn't log in, the chances are that she has indeed got IP banned and she/you would have to get her to give the moderators her IP so she can get her IP ban uplifted.

At educational areas, you'd find that the IP addresses are static.

If she can still see the forum when she is not logged in, she has been username banned.

I had this issue a couple of times and normally you can simply restart your router, but since I suspect its a static IP, she may aswell contact the mods.

Hopefully this should resolve her issue.
