Vanishing Messages

I received two email notices this morning. One said I'd received a new PM; the other was updating me that since my last visit to WP, there was another post to a thread I'd posted on previously.

But, when I logged into my account, I got an error message saying the message I was requesting did not exist. And, there were no new PM's in my Inbox.

Then, I noticed that my last two previous posts, which happened to be on the thread I'd received the notice about, were not there anymore when I clicked on 'find all posts by blueroses' on my account page. In fact, from what I could see, it looked like the thread itself was gone, too.

I don't think I've violated any rules (at least I hope not), so I am not sure what's going on with my account. Can any mod's shed a little light?

If someone sends you a PM you get an email telling you there is a new PM. However, the sender of the PM can change their mind and delete it before you pick it up.

If you watch a thread that someone adds a post to then you will get an email saying there is a new post to that thread. However, it is possible that by the time you come on WP to read that thread that the moderators have removed the thread for some reason or other.

That thread was removed at the request of an individual it was discussing.
