I was fighting tooth and nail against discussion of bestiality in the adults forum and I make a passing comment about a scene in a movie dealing with a certain sexual fetish THAT I DON'T HAVE AND DIDN'T POST ANY LINKS TO and I got the boot without even the chance to let me explain or defend myself.

Yeah, it's easy to talk about the trouble maker with half a friggin' brain and ban him than to weed out the sheepfu**ers in here.

About a year ago, someone asked what people thought was the hottest sex scene they've seen recently in a movie. I mentioned a scene that involved a certain sex practice (which isn't why I found it hot) but I got banned for it.

Yet in the weeks and months prior to that, I made repeated pleas for discussion of bestiality cease. They did not. Somehow, they were okay with that than sex with a human.

Yeah I get passionate about being attacked or feeling that I'm being attacked and I attack back and I have to be warned about it from time to time but dammit, this is my safe place and the moderator who finally contacted me about me being banned told me that the mods and admins had a discussion and the decision was unanimous and no one came to my defense.

Even if I had necrophilia, I still deserve to be treated with a little respect and dignity and if someone slips up, don't just ban them, warn them. Make it an incremental thing where the first three warnings are just that, the fourth onto a certain number are time off.

The only time I feel banishment is really necessary is if someone posted pornographic images or threatens someone.

This was a year ago? And with an entirely different moderation staff?

If the incident you are complaining about was a year ago and you opened this account less than 5 months ago; that pretty much proves that you are a sock puppet, doesn't it?

Which reminds me. I think it would be practical to post, if it's OK with Alex, how the rule is being enforced until Alex has a chance to reword it.

Master_Jedi, I would also like to clarify how situations were reviewed a year ago, since I was on the team then. There would never have been 4 or 5 people reviewing a case in detail, if that is the impression you have. It would have been one person working the situation, one or two others reviewing it at thier request, and the rest deferring to their judgement if aware of the situation at all; it's a group of volunteers doing the job in their free time, remember. Everyone did their best to be fair and not work unilaterally, but not everyone can know everything. I have a difficult time seeing the term "unanimous" as being accurately reflective of the process and hope you just remember it wrong. I, personally, am very happy to see you back.

I think he might be understandably confused over how the rule is being enforced. Hence the suggestion I made in my earlier post.

NobelCynic had every right to be concerned and just in case anybody gets any ideas, sockpuppets are still against the rules and will get banned. On the other hand, banned members can ask to be reinstated if they agree to certain conditions and Alex approves of them returning and that's what MasterJedi did.

just that often when I say something like that, I'm told by the moderators that I'm not a moderator and to worry about my own damn self.

also, I'd like to point out that even if I was banned and didn't get permission to come back, I still would have just to make a stink about being treated unfairly.
