Opening post location

I do not know if this is possible with the programming languages used for the design of the forum, but in other forums online, I've noticed that they have it so that the opening post remains at the top of each page of each thread. This is extremely useful for helping the threads to remain remotely on topic. It's not perfectly effective, but it is an hedge against thread derailment and in that light it would be useful if possible.

I can ask, but am fairly sure such a thing is not possible with the current software.
