HTML: I cannot turn it on!

When I post a new topic or reply, and I want to add a photo, this site will not let me. As I type this, the control panel at the side of this message says 'HTML is OFF.'

Clicking 'Always show HTML' in my Account Settings doesn't change this.

HELP!

Do you NEED HTML then?
You can use BBCode to add images with the [IMG] tag.

As far as I understand that HTML is for the CMS system of this website and the forum module (phpBB2) has its own HTML switch which is only allowed for forum admins to turn on or off globally.

if you press

the 'image' button, a little pop up will, er, pop up...where you paste the image URL

or just type the image url inbetween "[img]"%20and%20"[/img]

make sense?
