why cant i edit any of my posts, even recent ones? it just keeps saying this

You are only allowed to edit your post within the first 9999 minute(s) of it being submitted

even recent ones wtf

The allowed edit time is correct (about 7 days) but obviously you should be Ok within that.
Would you post a message to this thread, verify it all looks Ok, and and then immediately try to edit it?

That explains a lot, I posted something last week and i wanted to edit it but it wouldnt let me. I didnt realize i couldnt edit something after 7 days. Is this new or has it always been 7 days?

As far as I know it's not a new ruling - or at least, it's been in place as long as I've been here.

That feature has been here since 2007 I think. Back when I joined here as another user in 2006, the editing was unlimited and then there were some users who go back and deleted all their posts so alex added a time limit to it. It's a week. Other places only allow a few minutes or more but certainly not a week.
