The best way to learn Canadian French is to watch hockey in the language

i detest hockey (BAD canadian!)

I'm not much of a fan either. It makes it easier to socialize with most other males in my age group (or males in Quebec, in general) though, to be able to make hockey small talk. Usually small talk around here seems to be "Did you watch the game last night?" I probably didn't, but its not too hard to pretend
