I try to change my avatar but it won't show itself.

Make sure that it is within proper protocol for the avatar size, file type and is not a corrupt file. If that fails, PM one of the admins about your avatar.

How do i tell if it's corrupt because theres nothing wrong with size but which is supported bmp,jpeg or gif?

I have always put mine into JPG format. Those are safe and work on several different types of forums and in simple web design.

You know anything about Hypertext transfer protocol

yeah my import avatar isn't showing either though the specs are all good. Ahhhh, The mysteries of 'puters.

Double check your file size maybe...but you probably have already.

Easiest way for me has been to upload mine to Photobucket and just link to it.

After you upload it...enter the first link shown under your photo on Photobucket into the box "Link to off-site Avatar:" at the bottom in your profile...and you should be set.

... or, you could upload it HERE. Then direct link to it from your profile page. That works for me.
