Okay, so a couple of days ago I started getting audio ads playing the background on WP pages (only twice so far), and just now I was randomly redirected to another site without even having clicked any links at all (I was doing nothing but scrolling through this page):

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postxf187957-0-15.html

When suddenly I was redirected to the following page:

http://www.crackle.com/c/The_Jackie_Cha ... cmpid=2781

Something really odd is going on. I'm suspecting it's related to some of the ads displayed. Some scripts seem to be suddenly triggering from other sites. Not good.

That's not good - browser hijacking! Have you checked your computer to make sure there is no malware on it that is causing this redirection? If it is clean it strongly points the finger at some dodgy scripts in one or more adverts - a potentially dangerous situation for you and anyone else viewing WP. Without adequate protection you could end up with some nasty drive by computer infection.

Hah! I run a Mac! Clean as a whistle!

This and all my PC's are tight as a drum as far as browser hijacking goes. This wasn't a pop-up or another tab opening either. It redirected the open tab. Google Chrome, by the way.

It only happened the once, so far.

theres quite a couple viruses out for mac nowadays. If anything macs are easier to hack, theres just less incentive to hack them

Yeah, I'm aware of that, which is why I keep it clean. I've actually run both PC's and Macs for over fifteen years now. Trust me, there are no viruses here.
